Replacement of screen on Razer Blade
Shut down the laptop
To begin turn off the laptop and disconnect the power cord
Remove the bezel
Insert a plastic pick between the bezel and the LCD. The bezel is held in place with glue and
a rubber insulation. Move the plastic pick around the perimeter. separating the bezel.
Put the bezel aside. Remove the remaining glue and rubber insulation. We going to replace
the glue later
Remove the adhesive strips
The screen in held in place with adhesive strips on left and right sides with loose tabs at the
bottom. Using loose tab pull out the adhesive strip on the right side. Pull out the adhesive strip
on the left side. Place the screen on the keyboard
Disconnect the screen
Using plastic pick and fingers peel off the clear tape securing the video cable. Using plastic
pick open the connector's bracket. Disconnect the video cable and discard the old screen
Connect the new screen
Place the new screen on the keyboard. Reconnect the video cable. Close the connector's bracket.
Secure it with clear tape
Test the new screen
Now we can test the screen. Lift the screen up and lean it on the back cover. Reconnect the power
cable and turn the laptop on. The screen is working and we can finish the installation process
Install the new screen using adhesive strips
Place the screen back on the keyboard. Using alcohol and micro fiber cloth clean the sides of the
screen and the inner surfaces of the back cover. Your new display may not come with adhesive.

Apply the new adhesive strips and lift the screen up. Apply some pressure on the sides to
catch the glue. In order to replace the bezel we need to use a 1/8 inch double sided super
adhesive tape. Cut 2 pieces of adhesive tape and apply them on the left and right sides of the bezel
Replace the bezel
Press firmly along the perimeter to catch the glue. Turn the laptop on. And we are done!
